Passive childcare centre at Louvain-La-Neuve The passive childcare centre at Louvain-La-Neuve was inaugurated in 2010. It boasts a construction from eco-materials: a wooden frame, a heat pump, geothermal heating, and solar panels. A water recovery system redirects rainwater for use in the toilets, bathroom, and washing machine. Staff awareness of energy efficiency is high: the childcare employees claim to be using only green forms of transportation.
