A Covenant of Mayors document that addresses the commitment of the Brussels-Capital Region to energy efficiency. The publication highlights major low energy regional policy developments, relevant financial incentives (Exemplary Buildings program, green loans), and major achievements in low energy public and private construction. Training opportunities for building sector professionals, and awareness-raising activities for the general public, are also given due consideration. It highlights the importance of each building in the low energy and sustainable future of a city. But reaching this future is neither a simple nor an automatic process. From "A different kind of building is possible" through "A different kind of neighbourhood is possible" to "A different city is possible" - the publication take us through the main points of Brussels' sustainable development.
