In 2014 social housing cooperation Portaal has built 50 energy neutral houses for social housing in Nijmegen-Noord and Utrecht.
Process
A competitive tendering procedure selected 5 building organisations that will build these houses. The rent will meet the social ceiling but the expected yearly energy-costs will be zero. With the approach of the selected builders Passive House standard unfortunately will not be met.
