Some European regions already have made great progress in adopting Passive house technology and developing nearly zero energy houses and districts with compatible energy-supply based on renewable sources. We call them Frontrunner regions. They have paved ways of energy-transition for other regions also. Three frontrunner regions are partners in the PassREg project, Brussels, Hannover and Tyrol.
